Key features

  • For looking at the cabin and the driver: IR-CUT plus infrared LEDs
  • Colour by day, monochrome by night; usable in a completely dark cab
  • 0 Lux with the infrared on - no extra light needed
  • The infrared LEDs are soft and do not dazzle the driver
  • 1080P AHD output, PAL or NTSC
  • Standard 4-pin aviation connector: plugs into an MDVR or monitor directly
  • 12V DC supply, low consumption
  • Small square housing with a 360° bracket: headliner, side mount or A-pillar
  • Small enough not to block the driver's view
  • Suits taxi, ride-hailing, coach and truck fleets: driver state, passengers, crew

Ordering notes

Points to confirm before production so the unit arrives ready to fit.

  • This model has infrared LEDs and is for the cabin only; for the road ahead use a front camera (the front lens of JPC-174D, for example)
  • Confirm the field of view at the time of order - it varies between batches
  • Confirm the mounting position (headliner / A-pillar / side) and whether the 360° bracket is enough
  • Confirm resolution and standard: 1080P or 720P AHD, PAL or NTSC
  • Confirm the connector (4-pin aviation by default) and cable length
  • Confirm whether audio is needed - check local rules on recording in the cab
  • Make sure the position does not block the airbag or the driver's view
  • Quantity, packaging and printing to be confirmed before production

Installation & usage

Voltage, wiring, sealing and maintenance guidance for the installer.

  • Check the supply is 12V DC and the polarity is correct before connecting
  • Keep the camera clear of the airbag zone and out of the driver's line of sight
  • Do not aim the lens at the window glass - infrared reflects back at night; aim it into the cab
  • Route the cable along the original harness and secure it so it cannot catch on the driver
  • Push the connector fully home and fit the weather boot
  • Set the angle and tighten the screw
  • Wipe the lens and the infrared cover periodically
  • With the microphone version, check local rules on recording in the cab and tell the owner
