Key features

This model is the version with IR-CUT + IR LED, mainly used for lighting inside the car (cab/passenger area/cargo compartment)
Do not install it on the inside of the windshield and face forward (shine in front of the car): When the IR LED is working at night, the IR LED will be reflected back to the lens by the windshield, making the picture reflective, white, and unclear. This is a common problem with infrared cameras, not that the camera is broken
To take a picture of the front of the car (front view/driving record), please choose a front-view camera without IR LED (our JPC-137 and JPC-145 are of this type: without infrared, they will not reflect light when installed on the inside of the windshield to illuminate the front of the car)
In a word: Photo inside the car → JPC-174 (with infrared night vision); Photo in front of the car → JPC-137 / JPC-145 (without infrared)
Built-in IR-CUT + IR LED: color during the day and automatically converted to black and white at night, so you can see clearly even in total darkness in the car
Minimum illumination: 0 Lux (infrared on), no need to turn on additional lights at night
The brightness of the IR LED is soft and non-dazzling, and will not interfere with the driver's driving
Suitable for nighttime in-car monitoring: driver status, passenger area, following personnel, cargo cargo

Points to confirm before production so the unit arrives ready to fit.

Confirm purpose: take photos inside the car or in front of the car - This model has an IR LED and is only suitable for taking photos inside the car; before taking photos of the car, please choose a front-view camera without infrared (JPC-137 / JPC-145)
Confirm the installation location: ceiling/A-pillar/side of the car, whether an adjustable angle bracket is needed (this model supports 360° adjustment)
Confirm the lens angle: The current information states 150°. If there are other wide-angle/narrow-angle versions, please inform in advance
Confirm resolution and format: AHD 1080P / 720P, PAL or NTSC.
Confirm connector type (4-pin aviation standard) and cable length (0.5 m tail standard; 1 m / 5 m / 10 m made to order).
Confirm whether audio (microphone) is required: required for in-car recording scenarios, pay attention to local recording regulations
Confirm that the installation location does not affect the airbag and driver's view
Default specifications: 2053 + 8536H solution / 150° field of view / PAL system / without reversing auxiliary line (no park line); no wide dynamic range (WDR) function, if you need other angles or NTSC, please explain in advance
Confirm quantity, packaging (colour box or neutral box) and printing requirements in advance.

Installation & usage

Voltage, wiring, sealing and maintenance guidance for the installer.

Before wiring, confirm the supply is DC 12V (8–15V) and never reverse the polarity.
The installation location should avoid the airbag deployment area and do not block the driver's view
The lens should not be pointed at the car window glass (IR LED will be reflected at night), but should be pointed towards the people in the car or the cargo compartment
Route the wires along the factory wiring harness and fix them properly so as not to affect the driving operation
Insert the connector all the way and put on the waterproof cover
Tighten the screws once the angle is set.
Wipe the lens and IR LED cover regularly. Dust and fingerprints will affect the nighttime picture
Version with microphone: Before installation, confirm the local regulatory requirements for in-car recording and inform the car owner
