Points to confirm before production so the unit arrives ready to fit.
- This is a special part for a special car: you must provide the model, year and factory rearview mirror style, and confirm the bracket according to the special car compatible model table. You cannot place an order as a universal part
- Confirmed resolution and lens combination: 256×192 (FOV 18°×13°)/384×288 (29°×22°)/640×512 (48°×39°)
- Confirm whether you need the AHD reversing camera included with the package (not included as standard and needs to be purchased separately)
- Confirm the power extraction method (DC9-18V) and whether a dedicated decoder is required to obtain power without loss
- Confirm whether the factory harness has auto-dimming/rain-sensing rearview mirror functions and whether they will affect each other after installation
- Confirm whether the host unit blocks the factory harness rearview mirror function (the position of the rearview mirror, driving recorder, and ETC)
- Confirm whether you need to customize the startup LOGO, warning voice and language version
- Confirm whether the factory harness screen of the customer's model requires decoder access (required for some models)
- Confirm quantity, packaging and printing requirements in advance.
Installation & usage
Voltage, wiring, sealing and maintenance guidance for the installer.
- The thermal imaging camera must be installed outside the car (at the center grid): thermal radiation cannot penetrate the glass, and it cannot be photographed inside the car through the glass
- Special car-specific brackets must use parts corresponding to the car model. Before installation, confirm the factory harness rearview mirror base structure
- The main unit of the rearview mirror is installed in the car. Make sure the wiring is hidden and avoid the airbag area
- The lens carries an anti-reflective coating — clean it only with a proper lens cloth, never touch it with bare fingers and never use alcohol.
- Do not point the camera at the sun, lasers, welding arcs or other intense light sources for long periods.
- The screen will freeze briefly (shutter refreshes) and then recover, which is normal
- Thermal contrast falls as ambient temperature rises; this is normal.
- The reversing image is an additional function and needs to be turned on and connected to the AHD reversing camera in the settings. The brightness adjustment must be operated on the reversing interface
- After loading, verify the warning distance and horn volume according to actual road conditions to avoid false alarms
- The camera and cable connectors should be waterproof. The center grid is easily washed away by water in rainy days
