JPC-256 vehicle thermal imaging camera (256×192 / without algorithm / AHD output)
Key features
- Single thermal imaging camera without AI algorithm: the lowest cost, "only visible, no alarm" entry-level solution
- 12μm vanadium oxide uncooled infrared detector, resolution 256×192, pixel spacing 12μm, frame rate 25fps
- The lens has two stops: 10mm/F1.0 (FOV 18°×13°, see far) and 3.6mm/F1.0 (FOV 49°×37°, see wide)
- Optional 1.5mm ultra-wide-angle lens: FOV 120°×86°, specially designed for mining trucks, forklifts, low-speed special-purpose vehicles, agricultural machinery, low-speed unmanned patrol vehicles, and reversing vehicles
- Video output defaults to AHD (720P / 1080P optional), optional CVBS / USB output; standard 4-core aviation connector
- White hot mode supports detail enhancement, noise reduction, bad pixel repair, and automatic shutter correction
- Far-infrared imaging does not rely on light sources: black barrier (all black can be imaged), anti-glare, penetrating fog, fog, smoke, haze
- Automatic defrost heating: starts when the temperature is lower than 2°C and stops when the temperature is higher than 7°C to solve the problem of lens frost in northern winter
- Detection distance (10mm movement) <1000m person / <1280m car; identification distance <250m person / <320m car
- Detection distance (3.6mm movement) <340m person / <500m car; recognition distance <85m person / <125m car
- Aluminum alloy sealed housing, IP67 waterproof, vibration resistant 5G; operating temperature -30°C~+70°C, storage -40°C~+80°C
- Small size and light weight: about 34×34×49mm, the power consumption of the whole machine is <1.5W (heating on <3.5W)
- DC12V power supply, can be directly connected to the vehicle 12V system

Ordering notes
Points to confirm before production so the unit arrives ready to fit.
- First confirm what kind of screen the customer has on the car: if there is an AHD display/MDVR, choose this model (AHD output); if there is only a CVBS screen, choose CVBS output; if you want to run Android APP or computer, choose USB (UVC) output
- Confirm the lens and field of view: 10mm (18°×13°, far), 3.6mm (49°×37°, wide), 1.5mm (120°×86°, super wide angle, additional price)
- Confirm detector resolution: 256×192 standard, 384×288 / 640×512 as upgrade options
- Confirm the video output format: AHD 720P or 1080P, and whether CVBS needs to be output at the same time
- Confirm the connector type: standard 4-pin aviation connector, whether RCA or other adapters are required
- Confirm the power supply mode: DC12V, whether the voltage stabilizing harness is included with the goods
- Confirm detection/identification distance requirements and provide lens selection suggestions if necessary
- Confirm the temperature environment: in extremely cold areas, the automatic defrost function should be emphasized, and in areas with high temperatures all year round, pay attention to the impact of ambient temperature on imaging contrast
- Quantity, packaging, silk screen printing and whether a shipment inspection report is required
Installation & usage
Voltage, wiring, sealing and maintenance guidance for the installer.
- The surface of the thermal imaging lens is coated with an antireflection coating. You can only use a special lens cloth or glasses cloth for cleaning. Do not touch it directly with your hands, and do not wipe it with alcohol or hard objects
- Do not point the lens at the sun, large lasers, welders and other strong light sources for a long time, as this will damage the optical components
- Thermal imaging relies on the temperature difference on the surface of an object to image. When the ambient temperature rises, the temperature difference between man and the environment becomes smaller, and the image contrast decreases, which is a normal phenomenon
- To ensure image quality, the camera uses automatic shutter refresh. The image will freeze briefly for about 100~150ms and then automatically recover. This is because the shutter is in action and is a normal phenomenon
- The protective window is made of high-strength glass. If it is damaged by a strong impact, it must be replaced at the designated maintenance point as soon as possible to avoid damage to the internal precision components
- Thermal radiation cannot penetrate glass. The camera must be installed outside the car (at the center grille of the front bumper). If installed inside the car, it cannot take pictures through the glass
- The installation angle can be parallel to the ground, and the intersection between the sky and the road in the distance should be approximately in the middle of the screen
- When connecting to an AHD host, you must confirm that the host supports this resolution. CVBS and AHD cannot be mixed
