Key features
- This model is the VGA version of the 506 platform: 5-inch small body + VGA input
- Most in-vehicle MDVR/hard disk video recorders have VGA output, which can be directly connected to the VGA port of the MDVR
- VGA is a computer-grade RGB signal, displayed point-to-point according to screen pixels (screen 800×480). MDVR’s menus, channel lists, playback lists, license plates and details are all sharper
- AHD / CVBS are video signals that need to be encoded → decoded and then displayed. MDVR interface words and details will be blurry and blurry
- VGA signal is not restricted by PAL / NTSC format, and the picture is stable
- In a word: If MDVR needs a screen, give priority to VGA screen - the interface and picture will be clearer

Ordering notes
Points to confirm before production so the unit arrives ready to fit.
- Confirm the purpose: mainly equipped with MDVR (VGA input), or also connected to the camera (AV input)
- Confirm the VGA interface and pin definition of MDVR, and which VGA cable to use (DB15P female plug 500mm / male to male 1.5m / custom)
- Confirm voltage (12–36V DC) and power source (ACC or permanent live).
- Confirm connector type (RCA or 4-pin aviation), cable length and whether an extension is required.
- Confirm how the unit connects to the MDVR. If it only ever works with an MDVR, a single male or female connector is cheaper. If it is sometimes used with a camera and sometimes with an MDVR, we supply a 30 cm female-to-female aviation lead.
- Confirm whether audio function is required (2 audio inputs, optional)
- Confirm whether you need light sensor to automatically adjust brightness (optional)
- Confirm whether you need to wear a sunshade (this model comes with a removable sunshade)
- Confirm quantity, packaging (colour box or neutral box) and printing requirements in advance.
Installation & usage
Voltage, wiring, sealing and maintenance guidance for the installer.
- Before wiring, confirm the voltage and never reverse the polarity. Connect ACC to the ignition switch so the battery is not drained.
- The VGA cable must use a matching DB15P cable, and the pin definitions (especially the short-circuit pins) must be aligned with the MDVR, otherwise there will be no picture
- When VGA and AV signals are connected at the same time, press the menu to select the current display source
- The trigger line is connected to the reversing light signal; after installation, test whether the reverse gear can be automatically switched
- The monitor should not be installed in a position that blocks the driver's view, and the U-shaped bracket should be firmly fixed to avoid loosening due to driving vibrations
- Secure the cable clear of hot surfaces and sharp edges, and tighten the connector.
- Clean the screen and sunshade with a soft cloth — never alcohol or anything abrasive.
