Bus cameras have a harder life than truck cameras. They are mounted within reach of passengers, they get sprayed with cleaning chemicals daily and they must still produce usable evidence after an incident. The JPC bus range uses enclosed dome optics, metal bodies and IR arrays that spread light evenly along the aisle instead of burning a hotspot into the first row of seats.
Typical layouts pair one forward-facing camera for the driver and windscreen, two to four aisle cameras on the ceiling, one rear camera for the platform and reversing, and a DMS unit on the driver. All of them run on the same AHD platform, so a bus can be built from a single harness standard.

A cost-effective single-deck city bus usually needs four cameras; a coach needs five to six. Cover the driver, the door, the aisle and the rear platform, then add DMS if the operator has a fatigue-management policy.
Specify IP69K. The JPC-141 carries an IP69K certification document, which is usually what a transit authority asks for during tender review.
Audio-capable versions exist (for example the JPC-174 150° camera with audio), but recording audio on public transport is restricted in many countries. Check your local rules before ordering, and if you need audio for a specific proof-of-incident use case we can supply cameras that record only on alarm.
They output standard AHD, so they work with our own MDVR range and with most AHD mobile recorders on the market. If you are mixing brands, confirm the recorder accepts AHD rather than only CVBS.
